After being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2004, I tried the traditional medical approach to manage the disease. By 2007, my condition was deteriorating and at the insistence of my daughter, I enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition to seek a more holistic path to wellness.
At the time of my enrollment, I was taking 18 prescription medications per day and knew that I was headed down the wrong path. There I learned over 100 dietary theories and also the importance of balance in life. I changed my diet to healthy, whole foods and worked to manage stress in my life. By April 2008, I was no longer taking any medications and continue to be medication free today.
The Institute has more than 100 world class educators who are leading physicians, researchers, doctors and nutritional experts at the forefront of the health and wellness movement. Such renowned experts as:
Joshua Rosenthal, Founder of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition Mark Hyman, MD Mehmet OZ, MD Deepak Chopra, MD Marion Nestle, PhD, MPH Andrew Weil, MD
It was a fascinating and life changing experience for me. I enjoy working as a health coach and have also found a new life path as the co-author with George Foreman, III of my first book, "The Fighting Spirit, The Art of Winning Your Fight", published in January 2015 and my newest book, "Go Green for Wellness", published in May 2016.
My mission is to pay forward my blessings by helping others discover their paths towellness.
